Ozo Academy was established in 2014 with the aim of ensuring that all Ozo Group employees had the opportunity to learn, develop and enhance their professional skills through internationally accredited qualifications. Since its establishment, more than 9,000 students have undertaken training in their line of work. Forming part of the Ozo Group of companies, the Academy is the only private hospitality school in Malta, and reflects the company’s mission to provide the best service to their clients while investing in its human resources.

In 2020, Ozo Academy was nominated for the Training at Work Award for Outstanding Achievement as part of the Malta VET Awards organised by the Ministry for Education and Employment.
The courses on offer focus on improving competence and honing the skills of those already employed or wishing to enter the hospitality and healthcare industry. Each course is delivered via highly interactive sessions between instructors and participants, and is made up of practical contact time, observed practical sessions and assessment. All courses are accredited with ECVETs (MQF) by the MFHEA, and successful participants are awarded an accredited certificate. The Academy offers training programmes to third party employers and private individuals, which has included the recently opened Iniala Harbour House, Malta’s first 6-star hotel.
In 2020, the Academy successfully organised and ran a Housekeeping Academy in partnership with Belfast City Council and their training provider, working with the Holiday Inn and Titanic Hotel Groups. 70% of participants were employed in a number of hotels in Belfast following successful completion of the Academy. In the same year, Ozo Academy partnered with the Malta Hotel and Restaurant Association in the WINNING Project, offering a number of online webinars to participants from Malta, Italy, Libya, Greece and Turkey.
Ozo Security is a branch of Ozo Group that provides security guards for a range of public and private industries, including hotels, offices, schools and the event sector, among others.
The company also provides fully insured, secure and efficient Cash-in-Transit services catering for all business types, regardless of scale. This service includes scheduled cash collections according to your requirements seven days a week, next day delivery of notes, coins and valuables, bulk coin collections, and a digital track and trace receipt system.
Ozo Security also provides highly trained security guards who can handle complex security issues, patrolling, safekeeping, monitoring of CCTV and entrances, checking alarm systems and other aspects of security. These include concierge security guards, front desk security guards in office buildings, schools, clinics and residential properties, event guards, retail outlet security, and industrial and construction site security guards.
Mediclean JV is a consortium entrusted with cleaning the largest public hospital in Malta – Mater Dei Hospital – and the Sir Anthony Mamo Oncology Centre. Their expertise and commitment ensure a clean and hygienic environment for patients and staff.
MediClean staff are trained by Ozo Academy to meet the standards set out by the medical commission and to maintain strict hygiene standards. Daily cleaning is carried out in all common areas, such as emergency departments, medical wards, dental and cosmetic centres, and surgical departments.
GEB Landscaping is a newly established company responsible for creating and maximising the aesthetic quality of Malta and Gozo’s natural environments.
GEB Landscaping will be working on various projects around the Maltese Islands, such as the upkeep and development of public gardens, the street landscape, roundabouts, and several other green spaces.
